More electric heating research

On receiving a pamphlet in the post about electric heating, i duly sent off for the brochure which arrived this morning.
Now i admit to being sceptical about electric heating and being warned off by some friends, but after reading the spiel from the company i am quite impressed. The company is called Wibo heating systems. They are manufactured in Germany, which is often a good sign.
Since the cottage will have a log burning stove, i am still leaning towards electric heating elsewhere.
The company sells differnce sizes of units & some are movable. They even have a radiator & towel rack in one!
No prices are quoted due to the fact everybody's needs are different. However, they do offer a free survey.
That's another phone call to make.

No movement but more advice

I was walking around the cottage with my joiner 'mate' last week when he asked me if i had had the roof checked out. I said that i'd had somebody on the top but not in the loft space. He recommended that i get a pest man to check it out in case the beams are full of woodworm or dry rot or even wet rot! On hearing that i admit to panicking some what.
This should also be on the top of my list of things to do when we eventually get started.
Talking of which... the solicitor is now on holiday for 2 weeks so nothing will be happening re. the purchase of the cottage this month. Time is moving on. At this rate it'll be Christmas by the time we start!
